TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida College System Activities Association has announced its Weekly Awards in basketball, baseball, softball and golf.
FCSAA Weekly Awards (for all events February 23-March 1)

- FCSAA DII Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Jovan Palavra, Palm Beach State

FCSAA Sports Roundup
- The FCSAA Team Store has re-opened, courtesy of BSN Sports, and will remain open for the rest of the spring semester, providing access to FCSAA-branded gear throughout the winter and spring championship seasons.
- Tournament passes to the FCSAA DI Basketball Championships are on sale through Northwest Florida State College. Cost is $40 and provide access to all four days of games. Single day general admission tickets will be available at the Raider Arena Box Office for $15.
- Men's Basketball
- DII: Top-ranked Palm Beach State won its first FCSAA Championship in 48 years, beating Pasco-Hernando State in Saturday's final at the FCSAA DII Men's Basketball Championship. The Panthers move on to the NJCAA DII Gulf South District Championship Game against No. 23 Coastal Alabama-North. The game will be played March 7 in Bay Minette, Ala.

- DI rankings: (3) Northwest Florida State, (10) Chipola, (20) Gulf Coast State, (22) Daytona State
- DII: Florida State College at Jacksonville won Saturday's regular season finale against Palm Beach State, but the Panthers still move on to the NJCAA DII Gulf South District Championship Game after winning two of three regular season meetings against the Manta Rays to claim the FCSAA DII Women's Basketball Championship. Palm Beach State will play No. 13 Chattahoochee Valley on March 7 in Bay Minette, Ala.

- Men's Golf
- DI: As the calendar turns to March, Eastern Florida State is ranked 8th in the NJCAA DI Poll while Palm Beach State is No. 10. The Titans are coming off a team victory at the Bantams Invitational, hosted by USC Union, where they shot a +33, 20 strokes better than Florida College. Eastern Florida State's Jamie Smith won the individual title with a score of -2. He is currently the 11th-ranked NJCAA DI men's player.
- DII: Lake-Sumter State is currently ranked 29th in the NJCAA DII poll. Most recently, the Lakehawks placed fifth at the Pioneers Invitational, hosted by Spartanburg Methodist College. Tripp Watkins finished tied for third at +3.
- Women's Golf
- DI: The FCSAA boasts four of the top eight teams in the NJCAA DI poll - No. 2 Daytona State, No. 3 Seminole State, No. 5 Eastern Florida State and No. 8 Palm Beach State. Daytona State's Alana Kutt is the second-ranked women's player in the nation while Eastaern Florida State's Mila Tang is fourth.
- DII: Florida Gateway is ranked No. 3 in the latest NJCAA DII poll while Lake-Sumter State is No. 24. The Timberwolves Karlee Gainey is the top-ranked women's player in the country. Florida Gateway finished second at the Snead State Spring Invitational, led by Gainey who placed sixth. Lake-Sumter State's Wies Bouwma won the Pioneers Invitational with a score of +22. At the Babs Steffens Invitational, Seminole State placed seventh while Palm Beach State was 10th.
- Swimming & Diving: Indian River State College and the College of Florida Keys will be represented at the NJCAA Swimming & Diving Championships, which will be held in Fort Pierce, Fla., beginning Wednesday and continuing through Saturday.
- Beach Volleyball: Palm Beach State is off to a 3-0 record in FCSAA play following a 4-1 win over State College of Florida on Friday. Lake-Sumter State (4-1) and St. Johns River State (2-1) are just one game back in the loss column.
