DI Baseball Player of the Week

Josh Vinciguerra

  • Batted .545 (6-for-11) with eight runs scored, two doubles, two home runs and nine RBI in three games
  • Helped Daytona State to a series sweep over Indian River State with three straight games of multiple hits and RBIs
  • Went 2-for-3 with a homer and five RBI in the series opener
  • Homered and scored three runs in game two and went 2-for-4, scored four runs and drove in two in the series finale

  • Pitched six scoreless innings to notch the win in the Eagles' 5-0 victory over Santa Fe
  • Allowed three hits, walked none and struck out eight

DI Softball Player of the Week

Noelani Livingstone

  • Batted .500 (6-for-12) with five runs scored, two home runs, six RBI and two stolen bases in four games
  • Helped the Bucs to a 4-0 week
  • Was 4-for-5 with two RBI, falling a triple shy of hitting for the cycle, in game two of a doubleheader vs. Miami Dade
  • Homered and drove in three runs in game one of a doubleheader vs. Central Florida

  • Tossed a three-hit shutout against Tallahassee State and went the distance to notch the win against Gulf Coast State
  • In 12 total innings in the circle, she allowed nine hits, three runs (one earned) and three walks while striking out 14

DII Baseball Player of the Week

Thomas Bly

  • Batted .467 (7-for-15) with seven runs scored, one double, three home runs and 12 RBI in four games
  • Hit safely, scored and drove in at least one run in each game, helping the Vikings to a 3-1 week
  • Went 2-for-4 with a home run and five RBI vs. Seminole State
  • Scored twice and drove in two runs in the series opener vs. Florida State College at Jacksonville; then went a combined 4-for-7 with five RBI and homered in each game of a doubleheader vs. the Manta Rays

  • In 5.1 total innings, he allowed four hits, one run (earned) and one walk while striking out four

DII Softball Player of the Week

A'Lana Martinez

A'Lana Martinez, State College of Florida

  • Batted .571 (4-for-7) with four runs scored, one double, one triple, one home run and four RBI in two games
  • Helped the Manatees to a doubleheader sweep of Lake-Sumter State
  • In game two, she went 3-for-4, finishing a double shy of hitting for the cycle, scored three runs and drove in three

  • Picked up the complete-game victory in game one of a doubleheader vs. Lake-Sumter State
  • Allowed four hits, one run (earned) and five walks while striking out four

Women's Flag Football Defensive Player of the Week

London Jenkins

  • In three games, recorded 19 tackles, including six tackles for loss
  • Also credited with one sack and five pass breakups
  • Recorded one interception and one defensive touchdown

Men's Golfer of the Month

Carter Brooks

Carter Brooks, Palm Beach State

Coral Springs, Fla. 

  • Participated in two events during the month of March
  • At the Kona Ice Keiser Kup, he shot under par in both the second and third rounds to help the Panthers to a third-place finish and one of their best single round scores of the season
  • Followed that with a playoff win at the rain-shortened Stitch Invitational hosted by Sandhills CC in Pinehurst. He shot two-under par, also helping Palm Beach State to the top team score

Women's Golfer of the Month

Alana Kutt

Alana Kutt, Daytona State

Sarasota, Fla.

  • During the month of March, she competed in two events stacked with top NCAA DI competition
  • At the Valspar Augusta Invitational, she placed 51st out of 88 players with rounds of 77, 79 and 73 (+13 overall)
  • At the Coach Mo Classic, she shot a +10 to place 36th
  • Currently at No. 2 in the NJCAA DI women's rankings
