TAMPA, Fla. - Hillsborough Community College delivered a perfect performance en route to claiming the 2025 FCSAA Women's Tennis Championship.
The host Hawks claimed all six singles flights and won each of the three doubles titles en route to a perfect score of 18 points.
St. Petersburg College (5 points) finished as FCSAA runners-up and Eastern Florida State College (4 points) placed third. All three teams will move on to the NJCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships, where they will be on the short list of teams in contention for a national championship.
Hillsborough entered postseason play with a No. 1 ITA ranking, as of April 14, while St. Petersburg is No. 3 and Eastern Florida State, No. 5.
Friday's championship round began with singles play. Six victories later, Hillsborough had already wrapped up the team title.
FCSAA Player of the Year Catherine Goldman knocked off Eastern Florida State's Laura Yans to capture the #1 singles title. Goldman later teamed up with Sydney Stark to win at #1 doubles. Stark, meanwhile, won the #2 singles title.
Aisulu Zholbolat won at #3 singles and teamed with #5 singles champion Younsoo Cho to claim the #2 doubles title. Noah Rojas won the #4 singles and Salomea Jasoczek won at #6 singles for Hillsborough.
Rojas and Johanna Marten claimed the #3 doubles title.
By virtue of winning their individual flights, Goldman, Stark, Zholbolat, Rojas, Cho and Jasochek earned All-FCSAA singles honors. Likewise, the duos of Goldman/Stark, Zholbolat/Cho and Marten/Rojas earned All-FCSAA doubles recognition.
Hillsborough's Sarah Lytle was named FCSAA Coach of the Year.
