TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida College System Activities Association announced its Division II All-FCSAA women's soccer team on Thursday.
Headlining the 11-member team are FCSAA Division II Women's Soccer Player of the Year Amelia Johnson and Defensive Player of the Year Sadie Van Tessell, both of Pensacola State College.
Both Johnson, a sophomore forward from Seattle, Wash., and Van Tessell, a freshman defender from Melbourne, Fla., played key roles in helping the Pirates win a third consecutive FCSAA Division II Championship. They will attempt to help Pensacola State earn a return trip to the National Tournament at this weekend's NJCAA Division II South District Championship in Millbrook, Ala.
Johnson, who has played in 16 matches, shares the FCSAA lead in goals (7) and points (16) and is second in shots (19). She was also named FCSAA DII Player of the Year as a freshman in 2024. Known for coming through in the clutch, she delivered four game-winning goals this season, including one in the 89th minute to beat nationally-ranked Jones (Miss.) College on September 8. She was named FCSAA Women's Soccer Player of the Week on September 16.
Van Tessell has started 16 of the 17 matches in which she has played this fall. She was at her best in the four game head-to-head series vs. Pasco-Hernando State. Playing Center Back for the Pirates, they only yielded two goals in four matches agianst the Bobcats, going 3-0-1.
The All-FCSAA Team, as well as the FCSAA individual awards, were voted on by members of the FCSAA Division II Women's Soccer Committee.

Played in 12 matches for the Bobcats.....helped Pasco-Hernando State to five shutout victories...also named All-FCSAA in 2024.
Madison Jackson, Pensacola State

Has played in 17 matches for the Pirates...ranks fifth in the FCSAA with three assists...also scored one goal for a total of five points...helped Pensacola State record three shutouts.
Vivian Kettenhausen, Pensacola State

Has played in 15 matches for the Pirates...ranks fifth in the FCSAA in both goals (5) and assists (3) and is sixth in points (13)...credited with one game-winning goal...also named All-FCSAA in 2024...named FCSAA Women's Soccer Player of the Week on October 21.
