FORT DODGE, Iowa - Daytona State College finished fourth in the team standings at the NJCAA Division II Men's Cross Country Championship.
The Falcons' finished with 168 points in the scoring, tops among six FCSAA programs who ran into wintry conditions at the Lakeside Golf Course.
Pasco-Hernando State College finished 13th followed by Lake-Sumter State College (21st) Eastern Florida State College (26th), Florida State College at Jacksonville (27th) and Florida Gateway College (44th).
The Falcons were led by Caden Baker and Jeffrey Belizaire, who finished 15th and 16th, respectively, to earn NJCAA All-America honors. Baker clocked a 27:24.5 in the 8K race while Belizaire was close behind with a time of 27:27.6.
The NJCAA Cross Country Coaches Association also bestows All-America honors to the top 15 percent of runners. In addition to Baker and Belizaire, Eastern Florida State's Jaiden McKee, Pasco-Hernando State's Malik Millet and Daytona State's Hayden Clark and Nathan Henning were recognized.
Division I Men
Seminole State College, the FCSAA's lone DI program, also competed and finished 28th in the team scoring.
Myles Egerton was the Raiders' top finisher, placing 116th with a time of 28:28.9.
Half Marathon
Pasco-Hernando State, Daytona State and Eastern Florida State stayed in Fort Dodge to run Tuesday's Half Marathon. With snow still on the ground in Fort Dodge, the Bobcats were the highest-placing team of the trio, finishing 14th.
Millet paced Pasco-Hernando State, finishing 47th in a time of 1:13:04.5.
Daytona State finished 21st and Eastern Florida State, 22nd.
