CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Daytona State College's Josue Youta was named the NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer Player of the Week on Wednesday.
Youta, a sophomore forward from Montreal, QC, Canada, had a big week in two matches against nationally-ranked opponents, tallying two goals and two assists for a total of six points.
He played a part in each of the Falcons' goals in a 3-3 draw vs. Harcum, scoring twice, including the equalizer, and assisted on the third.
Against Montgomery, he was credited with the assist on the opening goal in Daytona State's 3-0 win.
On Tuesday, Youta was named FCSAA Men's Soccer Player of the Week.
