CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The NJCAA announced its Weekly Awards on Wednesday and Pasco-Hernando State College's Michael Savarese was named the Division II Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

Savarese, a sophomore righty from Brooksville, Fla., was named the Most Outstanding Pitcher of the FCSAA DII Baseball Championship last weekend.

In his only outing of the tournament, he threw a complete game in the Bobcats' 4-3 opening round win over Lake-Sumter State.

Savarese scattered nine hits over nine innings, allowed only one earned run (1.00 ERA) and two walks while striking out eight.

On Tuesday, he was named FCSAA Division II Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
