CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The NJCAA announced its Weekly Awards on Wednesday and Chipola College's Austin Brown was named the Division I Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Brown, a sophomore righty from O'Fallon, Ill., has had a stellar start to the 2025 campaign for the Indians, posting a 2-0 record and 0.00 ERA in two appearances to date.
In his first outing of the season against Hillsborough on January 25, he was credited with the win after tossing three scoreless innings in relief with four strikeouts.
Last weekend, he shut out Pearl River over four innings in relief to earn the win and struck out seven.
In seven total innings this season, Brown has allowed no runs, no hits and no walks while striking out 11.
