TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida College System Activities Association has announced its Weekly Awards in Volleyball, Soccer and Cross Country.
FCSAA Weekly Awards (for all events September 1-7)
Congratulations to the following student-athletes who excelled in competition during the previous week:
- FCSAA DI Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week: Angelica Rodriguez, Miami Dade
- FCSAA DI Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week: Katianna Betancur, Miami Dade
- FCSAA DI Volleyball Setter of the Week: Eleonora Gicheva, Miami Dade
- FCSAA DII Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week: Danna Aguilera, Gulf Coast State
- FCSAA DII Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week: Marisa Beaubien, Pensacola State
- FCSAA DII Volleyball Setter of the Week: Jessica Horn, St. Johns River State
- FCSAA Men's Soccer Player of the Week: No Nominees
- FCSAA Women's Soccer Player of the Week: Valeria Vasquez, Daytona State

- DI rankings: (1) Miami Dade, (2) Florida SouthWestern, (13) Eastern Florida State
- DII rankings: (7) Gulf Coast State, (8) Pensacola State, (15) St. Johns River State, (RV) Lake-Sumter State
- Men's Soccer
- DI rankings: (3) Eastern Florida State, (5) Daytona State, (20) Miami Dade
- Women's Soccer
- DI rankings: (1) Daytona State, (6) Eastern Florida State
- DII: Pensacola State upset fifth-ranked Jones, 2-1, on Monday evening.
- Cross Country
- Men: Benjamin Hale and Cole Fleming finished 14th and 15th, respectively, to help Florida State College at Jacksonville to a fourth-place finish in the team standings at the VSU Border Clash. In Lakeland, Pasco-Hernando State finished in seventh, one spot ahead of Lake-Sumter State at the Swan City XC Classic.
- Women: Florida State College at Jacksonville's Mei Chiang won the individual medal and Daytona State finished second in the team standings at the VSU Border Clash, tops among six FCSAA schools competing. Gulf Coast State was fifth followed by FSCJ (6th), Central Florida (8th), Chipola (12th) and Pensacola State (13th). South Florida State was the lone FCSAA school at the Keiser Flagship Invitational, finishing fifth in the team standings. At the Swan City XC Classic, Pasco-Hernando State finished sixth and Lake-Sumter State, seventh.
