TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida College System Activities Association has announced its Weekly Awards in Volleyball, Cross Country and Soccer.


FCSAA Weekly Awards (for all events October 20-26)

Congratulations to the following student-athletes who excelled in competition during the previous week:

  • FCSAA DI Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week: Luyeisy Marquez, Miami Dade
  • FCSAA DI Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week: Aubree Hummel, Hillsborough
  • FCSAA DI Volleyball Setter of the Week: Eleonora Gicheva, Miami Dade
  • FCSAA DII Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week: Lovina Teel, St. Johns River State
  • FCSAA DII Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week: Alice Peixoto, St. Johns River State
  • FCSAA DII Volleyball Setter of the Week: Jessica Horn, St. Johns River State
  • FCSAA Men's Soccer Player of the Week: Alvin Ssekamate, Eastern Florida State
  • FCSAA Women's Soccer Player of the Week: Susu Roberts, Daytona State
  • FCSAA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week: Hayden Clark, Daytona State
  • FCSAA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week: Mei Chiang, Florida State College at Jacksonville

  • The various NJCAA Coaches Association's have started announcing their 2025 Hall of Fame classes and volleyball included two individuals with FCSAA ties - congratulations to former Florida SouthWestern head coach Thias Baziquetto-Allen and current St. Johns River State head coach Stephanie Champine. 
  • The 2025-26 NJCAA Basketball season tips off Friday! 
  • Volleyball
    • DI rankings: (1) Miami Dade, (3) Florida SouthWestern, (20) Daytona State
    • DII rankings: (8) Gulf Coast State, (10) Pensacola State, (15) St. Johns River State, (23) Lake-Sumter State
  • Men's Golf
  • Women's Golf
    • Eastern Florida State earned a split of its dual match with Lake-Sumter State, with the women coming out on top. The Titans shot a 335 to earn the win.
  • Swimming & Diving
    • Indian River State swept St. Thomas on October 17, with The River men winning by a score of 203-57 and the women claiming a 225-74 victory. Last Friday, the men finished third in a four-team event alongside Florida Tech, St. Thomas and Barry while the women placed second against the same competition.
