TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida College System Activities Association has announced its Weekly Awards in Volleyball, Soccer, Cross Country and Golf.
FCSAA Weekly Awards (for all events September 29-October 5)
Congratulations to the following student-athletes who excelled in competition during the previous week:
- FCSAA DI Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week: Letizia Okonofua, Florida SouthWestern
- FCSAA DI Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week: Alice Santoro, Daytona State
- FCSAA DI Volleyball Setter of the Week: Irina Makinen, Florida SouthWestern
- FCSAA DII Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week: Lovina Teel, St. Johns River State
- FCSAA DII Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week: Maya Rhamy, Indian River State
- FCSAA DII Volleyball Setter of the Week: Jessica Horn, St. Johns River State
- FCSAA Men's Soccer Player of the Week: Carlos Rojas, Daytona State
- FCSAA Women's Soccer Player of the Week: Avery Bracher, Eastern Florida State
- FCSAA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week: Spencer Palmer, Lake-Sumter State

- Baseball
- The FCSAA's annual Fall All-Star Weekend takes places Friday-Sunday, October 10-12 in Lakeland, Fla., and is held in conjunction with the Polk County Diamond Club.
- Volleyball
- DI rankings: (1) Florida SouthWestern, (3) Miami Dade, (16) Daytona State
- DII rankings: (5) Gulf Coast State, (9) Pensacola State, (21) Lake-Sumter State, (25) St. Johns River State
- Men's Soccer
- DI rankings: (4) Eastern Florida State, (6) Daytona State
- Women's Soccer
- DI rankings: (1) Daytona State, (18) Miami Dade, (19) Eastern Florida State
- Women's Golf
- DI: Eastern Florida State's Ann Burel won her second individual title of the fall, capturing the Hooves at the Highlands and helping the Titans to the team title. At the Pat Bradley Invitational, Seminole State placed eighth, three strokes ahead of Daytona State, who finished ninth. Seminole's Jackie Knight was the top individual finisher from the FCSAA - she tied for 11th at 5-over.
- DII: Florida Gateway's Karlee Gainey won the NJCAA DII South District Preview, helping the Timberwolves to a second-place team finish.
- Cross Country
- Men: Florida State College at Jacksonville won the team title at the Alligator Lake Invitational, finishing with 43 points, just ahead of second-place Lake-Sumter State (46 points). However, it was the Lakehawks' Spencer Palmer, who was the FCSAA's top individual performer, finishing third with an 8K time of 26:49.9. At the Gulf Coast Invitational, Florida Gateway's Troy Winkler won the 5K event in a time of 16:39.20. The Timberwolves finished second in the team scoring.
- Women: Gulf Coast State defended its team title, winning its home invitational, which featured seven NJCAA programs. The Commodores' Lauren Logue won the 5K with a time of 20:29.26. At the Alligator Lake Invitational, Florida State College at Jacksonville's Mei Chiang continued her strong season, placing second in the 5K with a time of 19:27.9 and helping the Manta Rays to a third-place finish in team scoring. Lake-Sumter State placed second with 42 points and Central Florida was fourth.
