TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida College System Activities Association has announced its Weekly Awards in Basketball.


FCSAA Weekly Awards (for all events November 17-23)

Congratulations to the following student-athletes who excelled in competition during the previous week:

  • FCSAA DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Sean Register, Eastern Florida State
  • FCSAA DII Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Albert Laguerre, Florida State College at Jacksonville
  • FCSAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week: Milica Lazarevic, Eastern Florida State

  • General News
    • Indian River State College Athletics Director Scott Kimmelman was officially inducted into the FCSAA Hall of Fame at the College's November Board of Trustees meeting, which was held November 18 on IRSC's Massey Campus.
  • Soccer
    • DI Men: Daytona State fell to Indian Hills, 1-0, in Saturday's national championship match. Despite the loss, the Falcons' national runner-up finish is the best in school history. 
    • DI Women: Daytona State completed a perfect season, defeating Arizona Western, 5-4 in penalty kicks, to win a second straight National Championship on Saturday. 
  • Men's Basketball
    • DI rankings: (2) Northwest Florida State, (3) Daytona State, (8) Gulf Coast State, (16) Chipola, (21) Pensacola State
    • DII rankings: (4) Palm Beach State, (RV) Florida State College at Jacksonville
  • Women's Basketball
    • DI rankings: (2) Chipola, (4) Gulf Coast State, (5) Northwest Florida State, (RV) Florida SouthWestern, (RV) Daytona State
