TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida College System Activities Association has announced its Weekly Awards in baseball, softball and women's flag football.
FCSAA Weekly Awards (for all events March 2-8)
Congratulations to the following student-athletes who excelled in competition during the previous week:
- FCSAA DI Baseball Player of the Week: Bryce Jackson, Eastern Florida State
- FCSAA DI Baseball Pitcher of the Week: Ian Swanson, Gulf Coast State
- FCSAA DI Softball Player of the Week: Tylaya Lingo, Gulf Coast State
- FCSAA DI Softball Pitcher of the Week: Charlotte Graham, Florida SouthWestern
- FCSAA DII Baseball Player of the Week: Andres Vazquez, Florida State College at Jacksonville

FCSAA Sports Roundup
- Congratulations to the Florida State College at Jacksonville Manta Rays, who won the inaugural NJCAA Mascot Bracket Challenge!
- The FCSAA Team Store has re-opened, courtesy of BSN Sports, and will remain open for the rest of the spring semester, providing access to FCSAA-branded gear throughout the winter and spring championship seasons.
- Tournament passes to the FCSAA DI Basketball Championships are on sale through Northwest Florida State College. Cost is $40 and provide access to all four days of games. Single day general admission tickets will be available at the Raider Arena Box Office for $15.
- Men's Basketball
- DII: Top-ranked Palm Beach State won the NJCAA DII Gulf South District Championship with a 64-59 win over Coastal Alabama-North. The Panthers move on to the NJCAA DII Men's Basketball Championship in Danville, Ill.
- Women's Basketball
- DII: Palm Beach State fell to Chattahoochee Valley, 78-53, in the NJCAA DII Gulf South District Championship Game.

- Swimming & Diving
- Men: Indian River State won its 52nd straight National Championship over the weekend in its home pool.
- Women: Indian River State won its 44th straight National Championship and 48th overall.
- Beach Volleyball: Palm Beach State remained unbeaten in FCSAA play, defeating Lake-Sumter State (4-1) and St. Johns River State (5-0) to improve to 5-0 and 10-3 overall. The Lakehawks knocked off the Vikings, 4-1, as part of a tri-match and sit at 5-2 in FCSAA play.
- Women's Flag Football: Florida Gateway suffered its first loss of the season, 25-19, at Life University, to finish a 2-1 week heading into Wednesday's showdown at unbeaten Daytona State. The Falcons picked up wins over Siena Heights (33-0) and North Central Missouri (20-0) to improve to 6-0.
