TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida College System Activities Association has announced its Weekly Awards in basketball, baseball and softball.


FCSAA Weekly Awards (for all events January 19-25)

  • FCSAA DII Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Marvin Golf, Palm Beach State
  • FCSAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week: Janiah Suprius, Palm Beach State
  • FCSAA DI Baseball Player of the Week: Davis Avera, Gulf Coast State
  • FCSAA DI Baseball Pitcher of the Week: Caleb Jones, Eastern Florida State

  • Polk State College's Mike Ferguson was recently recognized by College Sports Communicators, who named him December's Two-Year Sports Information Director of the Month.
  • Men's Basketball
    • DI rankings: (3) Northwest Florida State, (7) Gulf Coast State, (12) Tallahassee State, (13) Chipola, (14) Daytona State, (18) Pensacola State, (RV) Florida SouthWestern
    • DII rankings: (1) Palm Beach State, (RV) Florida State College at Jacksonville
  • Women's Basketball
    • DI rankings: (1) Chipola, (6) Northwest Florida State, (11) Gulf Coast State, (24) Daytona State
  • Swimming & Diving
    • Men: Indian River State has picked up a pair of wins in dual meets this month, defeating Nova Southeastern (163-99) and Ave Maria (230-51). Both Indian River State and Florida Keys will be in action at the Craigie Invitational on February 6-8.
    • Women: The River women have split its two dual meets in January, falling to Nova Southeastern (83-179) before bouncing back to beat Ave Maria (238-50). Both Indian River State and Florida Keys will be in action at the Craigie Invitational on February 6-8.
