TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida College System Activities Association has announced its Weekly Awards in Basketball.

FCSAA Weekly Awards (for all events January 5-11)

Congratulations to the following student-athletes who excelled in competition during the previous week:

  • FCSAA DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Chandler Davis, Hillsborough
  • FCSAA DII Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Albert Laguerre, Florida State College at Jacksonville
  • FCSAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week: Destinie Gordon, Florida SouthWestern

  • Lake-Sumter State College's Jay Miller announced he will step down as head softball coach following the 2026 season and serve solely as the College's Director of Athletics
