TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida College System Activities Association has announced its Weekly Awards in basketball, baseball, softball and women's flag football.


FCSAA Weekly Awards (for all events February 16-22)

Congratulations to the following student-athletes who excelled in competition during the previous week:

FCSAA Sports Roundup

  • The FSCJ Manta Rays have advanced to the Elite Eight in the NJCAA Bracket Challenge for the Best Nickname. Their next opponent is the Mesa Thunderbirds and voting begins at 1 p.m. today (February 24) on NJCAA X/Twitter and on the NJCAA Instagram Story and continues for 24 hours. Please support the Manta Rays and help the FCSAA claim another National Championship! 
  • The FCSAA Team Store has re-opened, courtesy of BSN Sports, and will remain open for the rest of the spring semester, providing access to FCSAA-branded gear throughout the winter and spring championship seasons. 
  • Tournament passes to next month's FCSAA DI Basketball Championships are on sale through Northwest Florida State College. Cost is $40 and provide access to all four days of games. Single day general admission tickets will be available at the Raider Arena Box Office for $15. 
  • Men's Basketball
    • DI rankings: (6) Tallahassee State, (7) Chipola, (8) Northwest Florida State, (12) Gulf Coast State, (21) Florida SouthWestern, (24) Daytona State, (RV) Eastern Florida State
    • DII rankings: (1) Palm Beach State
      • The FCSAA DII Men's Basketball Championship will take place February 27 and 28 at The Reef on the campus of Florida State College at Jacksonville. The winner of the four-team event will advance to the NJCAA DII Gulf South District Championship Game against the ACCC Champion, to be held March 7 in Bay Minette, Ala.
  • Women's Basketball
    • DI rankings: (3) Northwest Florida State, (8) Chipola, (16) Gulf Coast State, (25) Daytona State
    • DII: By virtue of winning the regular-season best-of-3 series, Palm Beach State is the 2026 FCSAA DII Women's Basketball Champion and will play in the NJCAA DII Gulf South District Championship Game against the ACCC Champion, to be held March 7 in Bay Minette, Ala.
  • Baseball
    • DI rankings: (1) Chipola, (6) Florida SouthWestern, (19) Northwest Florida State
  • Softball
    • DI rankings: (1) Northwest Florida State, (3) Indian River State, (5) Florida SouthWestern, (8) Santa Fe, (11) Seminole State, (12) Eastern Florida State, (18) Daytona State, (20) Gulf Coast State, (RV) Miami Dade
    • DII rankings: (10) St. Johns River State, (20) Florida State College at Jacksonville, (24) Lake-Sumter State, (25) State College of Florida
  • Golf
    • DI Men: Eastern Florida led the field after Day 1 at the Bantams Invitational in South Carolina with a first-round score of 313, five strokes ahead of Columbia College. 
    • DI Women: Playing at Stetson's Babs Steffens Invitational, Seminole State sat in seventh place after Day 1 while Palm Beach State was in ninth. 
    • DII Men: Playing in some of their toughest conditions yet, Lake-Sumter State is in sixth place after Day 1 at the Pioneers Invitational, but just five shots out of the lead. 
  • Swimming & Diving
    • The 2026 NJCAA Swimming & Diving Championships will be held at Indian River State College, March 4-7. 
  • Women's Flag Football
    • Daytona State and Florida Gateway are a combined 5-0 to begin the 2026 season. The Falcons have claimed wins over Andrew (87-0), Point University (33-13) and Lees-McRae (21-14) while the Timberwolves have beaten Brewton Parker (35-6) and Lees McRae (13-6). The teams will play their first regular season meeting on March 11.
